This has been discussed in detail at the last couple of meetings, and the County has decided that it would like to send teams to compete.
For those unsure what this is, it is a competition, held at Lilleshall, the home of Archery GB, and is team based, involving qualification rounds and team head-to-heads against teams from other Counties. Pre-Covid Norfolk regularly sent two or three teams, and this is something we want to resume doing. It is a great weekend, with lots of fun and a chance to meet Archers from all over the Country, including some of the biggest names in the sport.
This year, the County have agreed to fund the following to support this:
Entry fees for the teams @£145 per team
Hotel costs of upto £150 per night for upto 2 nights.
Obviously in order to enter we would like to know if any of our archers are interested in participating, so please can you e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be considered for the team. Teams consist of 3 archers in a bow style of the same gender, ie 3 gents recurve, 3 ladies barebow etc.
The shoot this year is on 24/25th September, and takes the format of a 720 round (WA 50/70) in the morning each day, followed by the team head-to-heads each afternoon.
